Description: These small ants closely resemble the ants of the Attini tribe, but do not have a mushroom nest and do not feed on fungi. They forage alone, only leaving their nests to a maximum height of one meter.
In this area, a high density of workers is observed, sometimes more than a hundred per m². Their diet is primarily omnivorous, consisting of various insects and small arthropods, such as isopods and termites. Proatta also shows a preference for other ants such as Pheidologeton, Oecophylla, and Camponotus.
