Description: These ants are very common throughout Australia and can be found in open grasslands but never in damp sclerophyll. They collect everything they find, from seeds to meat. They host numerous psylid scale insects, leafhoppers, cicadas, etc. When disturbed, they are very aggressive and attack anything near the nest. They give off a typical plant cleaner odor when attacked. They are one of the toads' most important predators.
